John A. Jarzombek, 76, of Weare died Monday, July 2, 2012, at Concord Hospital after a brief illness.Born on Dec. 6, 1935, in Providence, R.I., John attended schools there prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1953. In the Air Force he served as a Radar Technician at the Saint Albans Vermont Air Force Station, one of 24 Air Defense Command surveillance stations supporting the North American Aerospace Command. As a result of his own service and family history of military service, John felt a deep sense of patriotism and expressed undying gratitude toward military men and woman everywhere.It was during his military service in Saint Albans that John met and married the late Rita Jarzombek, his wife of 27 years, producing two sons, Paul and Michael. Following military service he began a career in the rapidly evolving electronics industry, working initially as a computer systems technician before devoting the balance of his career to technical writing.
