Bernice B. (Brierley) Lemieux age 89 of Salem, NH, died peacefully Friday at Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH. She was born in Methuen, MA, grew up and attended schools in North Andover, MA. She was a resident of Salem for over 60 years. Bernice was a homemaker. She had previously worked at Andrew Wilson in Lawrence, MA and Western Electric in North Andover. Bernice was a member of St’s Mary & Joseph Parish in Salem, where she was an active member of the Catholic Daughters and the St. Joseph School Mothers Guild and the Mary Queen of Peace Women’s Guild. She enjoyed crafts, going on trips and attending events with the seniors and the Red Hat Ladies. Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter, and treasured time spent with her family, especially during the holidays. She was predeceased by her husband John W. Lemieux Sr. She is survived by her sons: John W. Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Lemieux of Pelham, NH Stephen and his wife Patricia Lemieux of Epping, NH Grandchildren: John Lemieux III, Roberta Lemieux, Stephen Lemieux Jr., Adam Lemieux, and Kimberly Lemieux Great Grandchildren: LaShante, Gary, John IV., Anna, Alissa, and Ashley A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 27th at 11 AM at St. Joseph Church, Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Edwin Paul Markowski, 90, of Epping, died January 27, 2013, after a period of declining health. He was born in Roxbury, MA on May 2, 1922, the son of Paul and Josephine (Tujko) Markowski. He graduated Boston English High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. During WWII, he served in the US Army. Prior to retirement, he had worked as a mechanical and design engineer with Barry Controls in Watertown, MA. Edwin enjoyed gardening and was an avid painter. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who most enjoyed spending time with his family. Family members include his wife of 65 years Roberta (Dzengeleski) Markowski of Epping; 3 sons, Richard Markowski and wife Anne of Nashua, Edwin P. Markowski Jr. and wife Sandy of Benton, ME, Phil Markowski of Epping; 2 daughters, Cynthia Sprando and husband Robert of Westminster, MD, Christine Panis and husband Gene of Riverside, CA; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Markowski, Robert Markowski, Melissa Bickford, Katie Sprando, Jessica Sprando, Erin Mannarino, David Markowski, Evan Panis, Tyler McSwain and Evan McSwain; 3 great-randchildren. Margaret E. ( Clifford ) Martin, a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at the Blue Hills Nursing and Alzheimers Care Center in Stoughton. She was 85 years old and the beloved wife of the late Barry W. Martin.She is survived by her children, Carol Hill of Epping,NH, Barbara Slauenwhite of Brockton, Richard W. Martin and his wife Debbie of Norton, David Martin and his wife Gail of Sharon and Henry Martin and his wife Debbie also of Brockton. Other survivers include her brother Ashley C. Clifford Jr. of Bradford,Vermont,10 grandchildren and 12 Great- grandchildren.
Born February 4, 1927 in Albany, Vermont she was a daughter to the late Ashley C. and Edna (Simmons) Clifford. Margaret was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Stoughton.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday May 5, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 109 Pleasant Street, (Rt. 139) Stoughton.The Rev. Rebecca L. Cho, officiating. Antoinette (Fusco) Popadak of Andover, beloved wife of the late Edward F. Popadak, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. She was 86 years old.
Born in Brookline on August 21, 1925, she was the beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Fusco. Mrs. Popadak worked as a die cutter for G.S.F. in Ballardvale for many years and later worked as a Certified Nurses Aid. She was a member of St. Augustine Church in Andover and sang with the Sunrise Singers of Andover.
She will be sorely missed by her three loving daughters; Kathleen and her husband Henry Mills of Methuen, Christine Popadak Locke and her companion Lawrence Bruce of Epping, New Hampshire and Barbara and her husband Russell LaBarre of Andover, cherished grandchildren; Melina and her husband James Ward, Stacy and her husband Daniel Vail and Toni LaBarre and her significant other Stephen Piercy, dear great-grandchildren; Michael Ward, Damien LaBarre and Josephine Vail and several nieces and nephews. Antoinette was also the loving grandmother of the late Stephen Mills.
Her funeral service was celebrated on Friday, December 23, 2011, at 1 PM in the funeral home. Many relatives and friends are respectfully attended. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, today, Thursday, December 22, 2011, from 5 to 8 PM. Burial was in St. Augustine Cemetery in Andover.
